Notes from Encouragement Talk

God blessed us with gorgeous, 24 degrees Celsius weather and we met in front of the Athabasca Hall.  We formed a circle on the grass lawn and held our first ever Bible talk outdoors. It was a wonderful time, as we enjoyed the last few warm days of the fall.

Below are the notes from this talk, which focused on "Encouragement."  We looked at the example of Barnabas (the Son of Encouragement) from the Book of Acts, and how he was generous, supportive, full of faith and a persistent man.  Then, the discussion centered on some ways in which Christians today can be encouraging to other people, whether it is by sharing time, energy, money or love.
